Tuesday, June 24, Turin celebrated the patron saint (Saint John), and as customary in these parts of the evening, around 10 and a half, held an impressive display of fireworks.

The fires, in itself already very well organized, accompanying a story that lasts about 40 minutes (But I could not feel it is too far away: P) and are shooting to the beat of music, which gives added value to the whole show was lacking in other fireworks I had seen before (such as mid-August to Jesolo, just to name one).

The frame, then, is really impressive: the fireworks are shot from a barge anchored in the Po near Piazza Vittorio Veneto, from which the background you see the mountain with its Capuchin monastery (which you can see in the videos below on the right).

In the first video you see a piece of the show, with musical accompaniment. On the right you can see, as already mentioned, the church / monastery Mount of the Capuchins and below you see (even if wrong, because poor quality videos on Youtube -.-) a series of illuminated fountains very beautiful, even if we were where we were quite difficult to see. : /



In the second video but you have to appreciate some of my colleagues that evening. I just want to point out that our "Oooooh!" are ironic and aimed at everyone who came out just a firework a hair different from the others were "Oooooh" even though it was crap ... I do not know how many of you know Eataly ... in short it is a chain of supermarkets / Restaurant: sell refined foods (vegetables and organic meat, pasta special oils from 20 € per bottle, delicious wines ...) and cook the same foods for those who want to stop for lunch or dinner (at honest prices, among other things). Anyway, last night before the movie (disappointing, do not go see "It was the end" even if you pay the entrance!) I had dinner there ... as I approached the counter I noticed a sort of stand in which they enjoy special oils. I approach and beccatevi what it's called the manufacturer of oils:





XD The guy sees that I stand photographer and asks me what I find so particularly in writing, and I tell him my name and I point out that, in short, the similarity is very evident. We let '4 laughs about it and he makes me taste the oil, almost all really good!

Eventually I left and promised that the next time I go to the grocery store one of those oils I buy it, if only for the name! XD
